FAQ
Straight answers.
What artists ask us most, before they join.
Will my art be used to train AI?
No. We will never sell or license your work for AI training, and we do everything we can to stop the bots that scrape it. AI-generated art isn't welcome here either: Velvet Frames is for work made by artists.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
Always. Your work stays yours. We only show it where you choose, and when you delete something, it's gone from Velvet Frames too.
I make 18+ art. Could it disappear overnight?
We won't pretend we control everything: banks and card networks set rules for every platform. What we can promise is which side we're on. We'll always stand with artists and fight for them. Changing our policy would be the very last thing we do, and we'd count it as a defeat. If anything of yours is ever flagged, you'll get the reason and a way to respond.
How much does Velvet Frames take?
We'll announce our fee before launch, and the waitlist will hear it first.
I'm already on another platform. Can I bring my work over?
Yes. Every artist who joins before launch gets a tool to bring their existing work across, so their gallery isn't empty on day one.
Is it free for fans?
Yes. Following artists and browsing their galleries is free. You only pay when you choose to subscribe to an artist or leave a tip.
What do I get for joining now?
Artists get in first, with help setting up their profile and the import tool. Fans get early access. We'll only email you about the launch, and you can leave the list in one click.
A question we didn't answer, or an idea for us?
